WOD-24.05.12 Rest/Catch up/Mobilise

REST DAY/ Active recovery

Active recovery would involve a light row/run, plenty of stretches and mobilisation.

Remember you can still come in and catch up on any missed WODs during the week.

Update on new equipment requests

Thanks for your feedback regarding new equipment/toys for the box.

After reading all the posts and listening to what people want heres what I think…

  • Dumbells- Id love to have rubber Dumbells at the box but theyre just too expensive to justify purchasing enough pairs for everyone to WOD with.
  • Heater for the changing room- Not just yet
  • Prowlers- possibly but the Sleds serve just a good a job
  • Atlas Stones were quite popular, however storage is an issue, so not just yet
  • A mirror on the wall-This isnt going to happen although I do see Lauras point in its usefulness.
  • Jerk Blocks – Storage is another issue for these; the racks do just a good a job; plus no one is jerking anywhere near enough weight to justify.
  • Heavier Kettlebells- This might happen once the 24’s and 32’s get swung correctly 🙂
  • Sandbags are a great training tool, except they will turn the gym floor into Saltburn beach.
  • FRIDGE – Im in the process of getting a fridge sorted; great idea especially in time for the summer
  • Steel plates – These have been sold out from the supplier for some time now, Im back on the case 🙂
  • Wall Balls – Again these are hard to come by if you want quality products that wont split. Im looking into 2 different suppliers right now
  • Extra Bars – In my opinion we have enough Bars, the box is full when all of them are in use with a safe amount of room between bars.

Again, thanks for your feedback. The next purchases for the box will be, Wall Balls, Steel Plates and a Fridge 🙂
