Coming Soon… CrossFit Teesside Competitor Programme!
For the past 4 and a half years CrossFit Teesside has constantly evolved in order to provide the best possible training experience for its members. This includes three Expansions, regular Equipment upgrades and additions, more Experienced & Qualified Coaches, the introduction of a specific Weightlifting area & Mobility area, a Strength Board, an Engine Board, CrossFit Kids, and most recently the addition of two Showers for those heading straight off to work!
These are just a handful of improvements which have been made since we opened in 2011, and there will be many more to come in the future! Remember, if any of you have any suggestions of things that you would like to see introduced to the Box, no matter how big or small, please do not hesitate to let us know and we will consider it!
For our next addition to CrossFit Teesside, we have decided to provide a separate programme that will be aimed specifically towards our Competitive Athletes. This years “Open” so far, has been our most popular and successful yet, and some of our athletes are showing amazing signs of talent and potential!
The program will be aimed specifically towards our athletes who have the desire to Compete in high level CrossFit Competitions such as “The Athletes Games”, “The British Championships” and potentially “The Regionals”. We understand that these achievements do not happen overnight, which is why the athletes who wish to take part in this program must be willing to put in some serious time and dedication into their Training. This means Double Sessions multiple times per week, extra Recovery & Mobility work, and for those who have full time jobs or college to attend, early starts and late finishes!
This is not a program that should be dipped in and out of, as it is a full year long programme which will begin the 1st Monday in April and will run all the way up until and throughout the “2017” Open, and hopefully be repeated for long after that.
For those of you who wish to follow Teesside’s Competitor Programme, a new Tab will soon be created on the Website where this will be posted. This will be the only place it can be found as everything else in the Box will remain unchanged. Every Saturday a full week of programming will be posted in advance, so you will be able to plan your sessions for the week and make sure it fits in with your personal schedule. Please note, that if you are following this programme, it is also important that the classes going on in the box are not interrupted by your training. However this will be thought of in advance, and it will be structured to make sure that this programme does not conflict with what is going on in the Classes.
For those of you who do not wish to make it to the CrossFit Games one day, do not worry, everything at the box will remain the same, Strength Boards and Engine Boards will still be on offer, which will be programmed to compliment the daily Class WOD. Plus, just because you are not a follower of the Teesside Competitor Programme, do not think that the Competitive side of CrossFit is not open to you. The training Methodology that we have always followed in our classes has led many of our members to very high levels of Performance allowing them to take part in different competitions, as well as providing an outstanding level of General Health & Fitness for everyone!
