“12 Days of Christmas” WOD 6 12.12.2015

CrossFit Teesside’s Christmas Charity Appeal 2015

Christmas for most people is a fun time spent with family and friends but not everyone is so lucky. Not everyone gets to spend it in a safe environment. Not everyone gets to open a present on Christmas Day.

Harbour is an organisation that provides purpose built emergency accommodation for women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse. Additionally they support female and male victims of abuse in the community through outreach services as well as providing therapeutic support to children in the community.

With a small donation from each of our members we are hoping to make a BIG difference for the children who will be spending Christmas in Harbour accommodation. We are asking you to buy an extra present whilst Christmas shopping so we can donate them to Harbour.

We’re looking for new toys and games suitable for children aged 0-18 years (leaning more towards 8-18 years). There will be a big Christmas box in the gym very shortly, please leave your gift in there. ***Please do not wrap the presents***

The gifts will then be collected by Harbour on the 21st December and they will then ensure that every child in their care will have something to open on Christmas morning.

You can NOW get your CrossFit Teesside CHRISTMAS PARTY TICKETS from the box! It is on SATURDAY 19th DECEMBER at THE TERRACE BAR in Teeside University Student Union and it is from 7PM – MIDNIGHT. There will be FOOD, a BAR, a DJ and a DANCEFLOOR, which is perfect for a bunch of CrossFitters celebrating another awesome year of training together! Tickets are £20 PER PERSON, feel free to grab more than one Ticket as partners are welcome!

200 Press Ups
300 Air Squats
Run 1 Mile

Partition Pull Ups, Press Ups & Air Squats as needed.

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

* If you have a Weight Vest or Body Armor at home, feel free to bring it with you if you wish to wear one as we have a limited amount at the box.

* Scale DISTANCE as needed
* Scale PU’s to Band Assisted or Jumping
* Scale Press Ups to Knees
